Bay and Bow

Adding a Bay or Bow window to your home creates the illusion of a larger space and also adds that extra touch to the exterior appearance of the home. Each Bay or Bow window is built using our Saturn series Double-Hung, Casement, or Picture window, giving you a lifetime of worry-free operation. The head, seat and jamb are constructed out of 1 1/4″ oak or birch that’s sealed to prevent rot and water infiltration. Each window is built to spec, including wall thickness and projection, ensuring a perfect fit for a remodel or new-construction.

The exposed wood on the interior can be factory or field stained or painted, and when paired with one of the interior wood laminates available for our Saturn series windows, create a stunning look that can only be described as “beautiful”.

While each window type may have a traditional appearance or design, with Custom Built you can mix and match operating or fixed, Double-Hung or Casement windows to build your perfect window.

Bay windows are traditionally built in 3 sections with a Double-Hung on each end with a large picture window in the center. These windows typically used when a large, unobstructed view of the exterior is desired.

Bow windows are traditionally built with Casements and Picture Windows in anywhere from 4-6 panels that project out and give a more rounded appearance. These windows are typically used in larger applications because of the gentle curve of their exterior, as it tends to blend in with more architecural designs.
